Charity Auctions

To raise money each year, the Camaro Nationals holds both Silent and Live Charity Auctions. General and automotive items are donated by our great sponsors, vendors, and other supporters of the show. If you would like to donate to this worthy cause, email us at info@camaronationals.org.

Friday afternoon and evening, the smaller items are displayed with Bid Sheets in the rear hotel lobby, and everyone is welcome to bid using their car number or name.  Winners may make their donation bid and pick up their items after the Live Auction is completed on Friday evening.

The Live auction is conducted by guest auctioneers Scott Settlemire of General Motors, retired, and radio host Drake Donovan.   In 2023, the combined auctions raised $17,000; bringing the total raised to over $213,000!  One hundred percent of the proceeds of the auction, in addition to the house half of the 50/50, are donated to charity – much of which are earmarked for the Silence of Mary Home (see below).

Everyone is welcome to participate in the Auctions, there is always room for bidders – even if you did not come for the banquet. For proper planning, however, seats for the banquet must be pre-ordered with your registration, and it  always sells out.

The Silence of Mary Home is a dedicated to troubled and disenfranchised or abandoned children and teenagers of the Central Pennsylvania area. Founded by Sue and Vern Rudy, the home is located on Market Street in Harrisburg PA, and is a clean, safe, secure family style environment…with Jesus as it’s main focus. The home provides nutritious, well balanced meals, teaches and monitors household responsibilities of teens, coordinates school activities and connects the teens with social service agencies.

If you are planning on coming to the banquet prior to the auction, you will need to pre-register for the show, as seats for banquet always sell out. There is also a Saturday Night banquet to celebrate the end of the event.
